At the AGM on 24 June, Chris Lofts was elected Chairman of the Management Committee in place of Ken Morris, who had stepped down. The Committee thanks Ken for all his hard work over many years. Ken will stay on the Committee as a co-opted member.
After much consideration, the Committee has had to increase its room hire rates from 1 October by £1/hr (50p/hr for the Committee Room), the first rise for 10 years. This reflects the increase in costs of running the Hall, in particular electricity, maintenance and insurance. The new rates are available on the website.
The Committee thanks Voneus Ltd who installed free high-speed internet for two years as part of its community support programme.
