Enormous thanks to our goalpost volunteers (Steve Brooks, Ben Allee, Catherine Martin, Richard Green, Jim Culliford, Angela Murphy, Bruce Wortley and colleague, Paul Hymers) for all their time, hard graft and expertise installing the new goalposts on the playing field – on what was surely the hottest day of the year.
The playing surface is obviously not ideal but probably fine for a kickabout – we are trying to figure out how to get the old loose clippings raked off the top before the next contracted cut. Also – there are some rabbit holes – obviously Badby Parish Council accepts no liability for injuries incurred while stepping on one!
Owing to great teamwork from some “can do” villagers, the goalposts are there and ready for the children to enjoy, just in time for the summer break👍🏻⚽️☀️
