As some of you will know, the Parish Council has for several years now periodically organised a “working party” of volunteers to do general maintenance and improvements to the village and local area.
More recently, due to the pandemic and lockdown restrictions we were limited in what we could do. We now have the working party up and running again and plan to organise it for the third weekend of each month (two weeks after the monthly council meeting).
The work we do is not particularly hard and you can do as much or as little as you want.
Our next meeting is this Sunday, 21 November. We are hoping to do some tidying up in the cemetery, particularly in an overgrown area containing the older graves. Also, we hope to do some remedial work on the playing field, clearing molehills and filling in any unwanted holes around the bike track. If you are able to help for an hour or so from about 10 am, please contact Pete Johnson (pete.johnson@badby-pc.gov.uk) or Richard Piner(chairman@badby-pc.gov.uk). You’ll just need to bring some basic gardening tools, a pair of gloves and a smile.
We would love to see you!
