Road Surface Improvements in Badby

Representatives of Badby Parish Council had an on-site meeting last week with representatives of West Northamptonshire Highways and Keir. The following actions have been agreed :

  • Refresh of the double yellow lines at entrance to village (within next 7 days weather permitting)
  • Roadmender repairs from the A361 to Bunkers Hill to ensure the road is in a safe condition over the winter period. Commencing 25th November over 5 days under a road closure with access for residents.
  • More extensive, sealed repairs to the main downhill stretch of Bunkers Hill (as soon as the specialist machine is available – likely to be after Christmas, sometime before March).
  • Finance being sourced for re-surfacing of Main Street where heaviest traffic occurs (Pinfold Green to School Lane) – may be next financial year if successful.
  • Allowed 2 more advisory 20mph signs

The reason why some of the old green road name signs were replaced with new ones – and what happened to the old ones – is being investigated. (The Parish Council knew nothing about this until it had already happened!)
