The first film of 2026 will be on Friday 16th January and is The Ballad of Wallis Island (2025). Comedy-drama starring Tom Basden (co-author) and Carey Mulligan as a folk duo who reunite to perform for a wealthy fan on a remote Welsh island. “A sublime, adorable comedy [which]… hums along a sweet melody without lapsing into outright sentimentality, mining a great deal of warmth from its humble premise.”
Friday 30th January 2026 the film is : Lee (2023). Biopic of American photographer Lee Miller, a fashion model who became an acclaimed war correspondent for Vogue magazine during WW II. She travels to the front lines to embark on a mission to uncover the hidden truths of the Third Reich. Kate Winslet stars in the title role, supported by Marion Cotillard, Andrea Riseborough & Alexander Skarsgård. Nominated for a BAFTA for Outstanding British Film. [116 mins, 15 certificate]
