A huge thank you to everyone who helped with yesterday’s village working party – it was a very productive session in lovely weather. The group cleared and bagged up overgrown vegetation in the Cemetery and behind the Village Hall, and levelled the churned up ground on The Green near the play area where delivery vans have wreaked havoc trying to turn around on the soft ground (posts have been installed either side of the drive-way to deter drivers from attempting this again in future). Thanks too to the Village Hall management for use of the kitchen to prepare refreshments afterwards, and to Sue and Helen for rustling up bacon butties, sausage sarnies and hot drinks.
