Swifts arrive in Badby – 2024

Ian Bromwich  first saw a swift flying over The Green on 10 May 2024.
The following day a pair were in box 1 evicting a pair of sparrows which had built a huge nest almost filling the box.
The sparrows came back once but were no match for the much larger swifts.
The height of the nest means my camera is fairly useless in that box.
It will not be great for the chicks either I fear, but I do not think it safe to interfere now.
There were three swifts flying while one was still in the box in the evening.
The following day another swift had returned to box 3 and I saw five over The Green.
This is a short clip of swift in box 3 is attached for the night 13 May. The swift stayed out the next night.
