The Parish Council has funded and carried out some remedial work on the trees in the picnic area on the playing field to ensure they continue to flourish. There are new, stronger tree-guards to prevent the muntjac stripping the bark, mulch circles to protect the root balls and new tree ties when needed. The stakes will remain in place at least until next Spring. Three trees have died – we think these are the “free trees” donated from gardens, not the “family-funded” trees.
