Introducing the “Knit Wits”!

Even if you’ve not heard of the Badby and Fawsley WI “Knit Wits”, you may have seen some of their work on The Green i.e. the wonderful display of knitted poppies on the horse chestnut tree at the corner of The Glebe, and on the bench nearby.

The Knit Wits are an enthusiastic bunch of WI knitters (and crocheters) who enjoy getting together to make items such as hats and cardigans for premature babies, sensory blankets for people with dementia, teddies and dolls for children in stressful situations, and decorative items such as the Remembrance Day poppies.

They meet monthly in one another’s houses, are always very grateful to receive donations of suitable knitting yarn and are also very happy to consider other charitable projects they can knit and crochet for. For more information, please contact Karen Brown (01327 312158).
