A message from Susan Fletcher (Police, Crime Prevention Officer, Northamptonshire):
We have been advised by APPCO Group Support that they will be conducting a fundraising programme for Great Ormond Street Hospital within the Northamptonshire area from 31 May until 7 July 2021.
APPCO Group Support have stated that they will endeavour not to visit households that are in official No Cold Calling Zones.
We appreciate that Northamptonshire Police advice is, especially to the elderly or vulnerable persons, not to open the door to unexpected callers and this advice still stands. However, APPCO Group Support has notified us of its forthcoming fundraising programme and we are sharing this information with residents, so that they are aware. People can still choose not to open the door, but we wanted to make as many people as possible aware that this company will be working in the area.
