In memory of David, Badby bells rang out on Tuesday (16 Aug) for 50 minutes from 1.40pm. The clappers were traditionally half-muffled. The successful aim was to ring a quarter peal consisting of 1,260 changes of Grandsire Doubles.
During the ringing, a cctv screen in the church showed the actual bells as they were woven through the mesmerising patterns of Grandsire.

The occasional voice is that of the conductor making calls of “Bob!” and “Single!” to produce the composition.
