On Saturday 16 July the club hosted a county T20 match at Longroods: Northants Steelbacks Visually Impaired team taking on Metro from London in a national competition. Chasing 208, Northants were victorious in the final over finishing on 209 for 3.
Sunday 17 July saw what is now an annual fixture where we welcomed the team from “The Crooked Hooker” from the Northampton Saints Rugby Club. They brought a lot of up and coming future stars of the game from the Saints Academy and a couple of their coaches. They proved to be pretty good cricketers as they retained The Pulpit Trophy. A great day was had by all with a crowd of well over 100 people enjoying good weather, BBQ and beverages supplied by a donation bar.
