Over 90 years ago Badby’s bells were restored by replacing a rotten timber frame. Now is a good time to make them fit for another 90 years. Difficulty ringing the three 400 year old bells easily and well and some corrosion of the frame has enabled the PCC to authorise fundraising to complete a rehang and repairs. The total costs are expected to be £67,284 + VAT £13,457. We currently have £3,726 in the bell fund!
The provision of two fit persons to help the bellhangers will be equivalent to a donation of £8,469 + VAT. The project meets the criteria for a Listed Places of Worship grant to cover VAT.
