The bellringers across the county got together to improve their ringing by forming the Peterborough Diocesan Guild of Church Bellringers (PDG) on January 5 1924. The first celebration of its centenary was a Guild Choral Evensong at the Cathedral on Sunday 14 January with a reception in the south transept. The Guild has ten branches: Charwelton supports the Culworth Branch and the other four
support the Daventry Branch.
This year, ringing meetings will take place at Preston Capes, Badby and Newnham. Why not follow the sound on the afternoons of April 20 at Preston Capes, June 15 at Badby and September 21 at Newnham to see and chat to the ringers of all ages about the social, physical and mental delights of bellringing?
