Inspired by the true story of a race horse bred in a Welsh mining village, by a barmaid with very little money and no experience. She convinces her neighbours to chip in their earnings to help, in the hopes he can compete with the racing elites: he goes on to win the Welsh Grand National. The film stars Toni Collette and Damian Lewis. [109 mins, PG certificate].
