DEFENDING OUR VILLAGE DEFENDING OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN HOW YOU CAN HELP US

On Thursday 5th February, 94 concerned villagers attended our Village Briefing on how we can defend our Neighbourhood Plan. We are taking a recent planning decision in the village to Judicial Review in the High Court, to test the strength of our Neighbourhood Plan in law, as we have strong legal advice that it has ‘been unduly and unlawfully ignored’. The Badby Neighbourhood Plan sets out collectively what we do and do not want to see in terms of future development in our rural village. Essentially, we are happy for good quality sites within the village boundary but do not want any further development outside the village boundary, which would compromise our location within an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The arguments and the Judicial Review process are complex and too long to cover in this leaflet. However, the briefings slides are on our Parish Council website under Planning/Neighbourhood Plan. If you require further information before deciding to donate, please email Michael Thompson chairman@badby-pc.gov.uk

News update.. Following the Funding Campaign launch to raise £25,000, we can announce receipt of a very generous donation of £10,000 from the Fawsley Estate and further donations meaning … we now need only £12,100 to hit our target. Do you support taking a stand? CAN YOU HELP?

 HOW TO DONATE

Our preferred option is to donate direct to the Parish Council via bank transfer.

Unity Trust Bank plc  Account Name : Badby Parish Council.

Sort Code: 60-83-01 Account No : 20458713

Please as a reference could you put surname preceded by BPC.  See Example: BPC- Smith. This will enable us, if required, to reimburse you, should we win and not need all of the funds raised (minus any costs or fees incurred). We do not have visibility of donors’ details via the bank transfer so please also email the Parish Council Clerk with the amount you have donated and the reference used, clerk@badby-pc.gov.uk.

If you do not have access to online banking you can pay by cheque payable to:  Badby Parish Council. These should either be given to one of the Parish Councillors or posted to Paul Hymers, Parish Council Clerk at 12 Farndon Road, Woodford Halse, NN11 3TT

Our view as a Parish Council is that if we do not stand up for our Neighbourhood Plan, Badby as we know it could be altered forever.
