Badby Parish Council were approached last week by a planning consultant and chartered surveyor acting on behalf of a developer. They requested an informal conversation prior to launching a public consultation in relation a proposed housing development on land east of the A361, behind Pound Lane. The Chair, vice-chair and planning representative of the Parish Council had this meeting on Monday evening. The proposal is for 45 to 50 houses (with 40% affordable housing) with vehicular access from the A361. The developer’s online public consultation is planned to be launched in November. The position of the Parish Council will be that this proposed development conflicts with the Badby Neighbourhood Plan as it is outside of the agreed village confines and we would therefore oppose this development.
