The Parish Council (through our flood warden) continue to work constructively with WNC, local landowners and the environment agency to try to mitigate against a repeat of last winter’s flooding. Significant works have been carried out by WNC last month and further clearance of watercourses is planned.
The Parish Council has purchased and distributed sandbags to households more likely to be affected.
The Parish Council acknowledges that, as in all villages, there are parking issues for some households, but villagers are reminded that parking on greens and verges is not permitted. Although tempting when they are very dry, this will cause significant damage once they become wet.
