Scarecrow Festival Weekend 9-11 September

If you can donate a bottle (squash, juice, alcohol) for the Festival tombola, please leave it out for collection on Saturday 3 September.

By now we hope your scarecrows are taking shape, whether on the theme of what you would save if it was going to become extinct, or just something you fancied making. Please put them out on Friday 10 September, ready for admiring glances and judging on Sunday 11 September. Extra entry forms are available from The Maltsters or Jim on 07717 414664. There will be rosettes for the winners and best entries.

Besides scarecrows to see, on Sunday 11 September around The Green, there will be the fun dog show, the gardening show, stalls with local produce, locally grown plants, arts and crafts, live music and children’s games and entertainment. Tea and cake will be available in St. Mary’s Church from 1pm till 5pm to reward your walk around the village admiring the scarecrows. The Maltsters will be open with lovely food and drink.

We will also draw the winners of the church monthly draw, and the bonus draw!
