The Annual Parish Meeting is an opportunity for parishioners to meet, to hear about what has been happening and to debate issues that matter to them. It isn’t a Parish Council meeting, but has typically been organised by the Parish Council.
In the past several years – at least, prior to Covid – it has taken the place of an informal social evening in the Village Hall, hosted by the Parish Council and village clubs and organisations. However, support for this appears to have tailed off and attendances have been declining. This year, therefore, the Annual Parish Meeting will take place prior to the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council, on Monday 9 May 2022 starting at 7 pm at the Village Hall.
Richard Piner, Parish Council Chairman, will present a summary of what has been achieved during the past year, and Parish Councillors will be available to discuss your views on any subject you wish to raise.
Village clubs, societies and organisations have been invited to provide an update about their activities and plans, and links to those provided so far are shown below. Owing to time constraints, they will not be read out at the Annual Parish Meeting, but residents are welcome to ask any questions they may have – either at the Meeting, or separately to the organisation itself.
