The Fawsley Estate have informed the Parish Council of upcoming forestry works due to commence in and around Badby Woods from next week (w/c 9th September 2024) as part of a Forestry Commission approved 10-year Woodland Management Plan. The outcome will ensure the longevity of the woodland and promote the health and safety of visitors accessing the woods via the permissive paths – improving the overall visitor experience. All Health & Safety considerations have been taken. Appropriate signage will be in place throughout the woods as certain routes will be restricted or disrupted during this period. Fawsley Estate ask for the cooperation of the local community in following the guidance.
Fawsley Estate emphasise that they fully intend to maintain and improve access for locals via permissive paths. Repair and restoration of the archway is already underway.
The estimated timeframe for the works is 6 weeks.
