Badby’s annual Scarecrow Festival will take place on Sunday 10 September, with the scarecrows on show from Friday 8. There is still time to enter your scarecrow on the theme of Kings and Queens, you can embelish on the theme as much as you want. Entry forms in by morning of Saturday 9 September.
Included in the many activities on The Green will be a bottle tombola and collections for this will be made on Saturday 2 September, so please leave your contribution outside your door.
Entries for the fun dog show can be made from 12:00 on the day, each class entry £2
Don’t forget to call in at St. Mary’s on Sunday afternoon for tea and cake to revive you after walking round to admire everyone’s work.
Perhaps also take a guided tour to the top of the tower (81 steps). Bookable slots on the day for every half-hour to see the view down the Nene valley, the new roof and our three 400th birthday bells, cast in 1623!
The road across the Green will be closed as most of the activities takes place on the Green.
