An English Oak commemorating the platinum jubilee of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be planted officially on The Green on the west side, on Friday 25 November at 3 pm. As well as marking 70 years of the late Queen’s reign, the tree will form part of the Queen’s Green Canopy project and will be a successor for the small horse chestnut which had to be felled earlier this year. Residents are welcome to come along to witness the planting.
