At the Annual Meeting on 9 May, Richard Piner stepped down as Chairman and as Councillor. He is replaced as Chairman by Steve Chandler, leaving a vacancy for a Parish Councillor. If there is no request for an election for the vacancy, WNC Electoral Services will notify the Parish Council that it may co-opt. The Parish Council would like to thank Richard for his excellent service over four years as Chairman; a great deal has been achieved for the village during that time, including the new play area, all-LED street lighting and the restoration of the north churchyard wall. The Council also welcomes Steve Chandler to his new role and wishes him every success.
