Mite Scheme

Your small change can save Children’s lives.

Visitors to Badby Church may have noticed a jar on the welcome table with a notice about the “Mite Scheme”.  Started by the late Mr Roy Barnett MBE, a former resident of Badby, and inspired by the biblical parable of the widow’s mite, the scheme is now run by UNICEF and distributes life-saving sachets of oral rehydration salts for children suffering from diarrhoea.  If you’re fed up of small change rattling around in your pocket, why not drop it in to our collecting jar which we empty regularly and pay the proceeds to UNICEF for their life-saving work in memory of Roy Barnett.
