As requested through national bodies, a bell at Badby Church was tolled half-muffled 99 times on Sat. April 10 from Noon.
Also a bell was tolled half-muffled once a minute from 2.40pm up to 3pm when a minute’s silence was observed as the coffin paused at the entrance to St George’s chapel, Windsor before entering for the funeral and burial.
The bells remained half-muffled for the next two Sunday services’ ringing.
