The Local Government Boundary Commission for England is conducting an electoral review of West Northamptonshire. The review will agree new ward boundaries across the council area, including the current Woodford and Weedon ward.
The Commission is minded to recommend that 77 councillors should serve the council in future – this is 16 fewer than the current number of councillors.
- Do you have suggestions about where your ward boundaries should be?
- Where do people in your area go to access local facilities, such as shops and leisure activities?
- Which areas do you identify as your local community?
After it has considered all representations made during this consultation, the Commission intends to publish draft recommendations in February 2023.
There will then be a further period of consultation on the draft recommendations, and the Commission’s final recommendations are expected to be published in July 2023.
The new electoral arrangements will come into effect at the local elections in 2025.
