Celebrate 80th Anniversary of VE Day

Our bells will ring out in the national celebration on Thursday 8 May from 6.30pm.

Just a reminder that the 11 am service in St. Mary’s Church on Sunday 11 May will mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day, a thanksgiving for the peaceful times we have enjoyed these past 80 years without the need to engage in another World War to protect our freedoms of speech, movement and association.

The service will be followed by a picnic in the Churchyard and on Church Green (inside the Church in the event of bad weather), with music courtesy of local band, the Field Jammers.  Bring your own picnic, chairs and gazebo, and meet up with Badby friends and neighbours.  Coffee and tea making facilities will be available in the kitchen.  All free of charge!

Please note that the upper section of Vicarage Hill alongside Church Green will be closed to traffic from 12-5 pm.
