Badby Scarecrow Festival
Friday 10 to Sunday 12 September 2021 and Festival Fun on Sunday 12 September
The Scarecrow Festival is on!
Last September, almost 30 scarecrows popped up around Badby. Can we double that number this year?
This year’s scarecrow trail will take place from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th September. In addition, on the afternoon of Sunday 12th September, we’re planning a Fun Dog Show, bottle tombola, games, teas, stalls, nature trail and displays around The Green and in the church, lockdown roadmap permitting. And of course, The Maltsters will be open throughout to refresh you.
We’re suggesting a theme of ‘All Creatures Great and Small‘ but really, anything goes. Scarecrows are invited to take their places in your garden or on one of the greens. If you don’t have a suitable spot, they can live in The Maltsters beer garden.
There will be a competition for the best ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ scarecrow, the best overall scarecrow, and additional prizes for creativity, appeal and the scarecrow the judge would most like to take home!
Entry is £5 per scarecrow, entry forms will be available from The Little Shop and The Maltsters, and inside the church porch.
Please enter by close on Tuesday 7 September (so we have time to print a Scarecrow Trail map).
