I ju
st wanted to share these two photos of a fuschia and a hydrangea, both taken in my garden on 17th November.
For some reason, these plants either don’t know that it’s winter, or they are defiant against the elements – determined to bring out their best side, whatever the weather, against the backdrop of my otherwise dreary winter garden. I’m somewhat envious of their modus operandi and I hope to be inspired by their approach.
Perhaps you will bring out your best side, against the backdrop of Dec dark and drizzly nights, by attending the Annual BDHS wine tasting on Friday, 6 Dec in Badby Village Hall from 7-10pm. Contact sophiefitzhugh@yahoo.co.uk to reserve a ticket. It’s only £20 per person which includes an aperitif, different wines to taste, cheese board, mince pies and a short talk from expert horticulturalist Philip Turvil.
