Think local, act local.
With fruits and vegetables ripening nicely, the focus of Badby gardeners this month is all about the scarecrow festival and village fete.
In lieu of the annual show, the intent is to run a small stall which offers home-grown, (and, crucially, cheap) produce to villagers in order to raise money for local good causes, such as the church and village hall. Therefore, you are kindly requested to donate a few of your wonky carrots, unwanted apples and surplus plums to the stall.
You have two options: either turn up on Sunday 8 September with a bag of goodies, or else drop them into Rich & Tori on Saturday 7 September at Threeways, Church Green, Badby (opposite the ‘youth hostel’). Thank you, in advance, for your kindness and support.
