Many thanks to all those who purchased teas and cakes at the Coronation Picnic on the Green. £274.30 was raised for our fund to purchase two trees for the village, one to celebrate the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and the other the Coronation of King Charles III.
On Thursday 8 June Margaret Burgon (wife of a former vicar) will be presenting a humourous session based on true stories, entitled It Could Only Happen at a Wedding. Why not come along for a free introductory evening? The modern WI has moved on from its old “Jam and Jerusalem” image. We have many interest groups which include day and evening Book Groups, Knitwits (knitting and other crafts), Northamptonshire Skittles matches, monthly walks and a variety of outings, in addition to our monthly meetings with interesting and diverse speakers.
