As you might remember, the 3 key principles on which the Horticultural Society was rebooted at community, inclusivity and fun. All of these were showcased at the annual wine tasting event at the village hall in early December. Jilly and Sophie spearheaded the event and were assisted by other club members. Philip Turvil gave an interesting talk where we learned about the importance of air in soil. Greg Shaw (SH Jones Wines) led a wine tasting full of lots of organic family-owned wines.
