Based on the 2012 novel of the same name by Rachel Joyce, the film stars Jim Broadbent & Penelope Wilton.  Our Supper at the Opera series continues on Saturday 12th April with the acclaimed 1993 film version of the Gershwins’ musical masterpiece, Porgy and Bess, starring Willard White as Porgy and Cynthia Haymon as Bess. It’s based on the original Glyndebourne production, directed and adapted for the screen by Trevor Nunn, with the London Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Simon Rattle. [183 mins,
