St. Mary’s Church Badby News

HARVEST FESTIVAL

St. Mary’s Harvest Festival will be on Sunday 11 October at 11am.  Please give food as generously as you can. It will go to the food bank for it to give out.  The recipients will be grateful for everything they get, but please bear in mind that some of them don’t have cookers.  Bring your offerings to church and leave them inside the door anytime up to and including 11 October.

BADBY FAYRE 2026

Badby Fayre on Sunday 13 September was a great success.  The weather was with us, and we attracted a lot of visitors.  Many thanks for supporting it and spending your money!  Well over £1,700 has been raised and credited to St. Mary’s Restoration account.

CHURCH BUILDING MAINTENANCE

Two new members were welcomed at the recent meeting of the Maintenance and Assets Working Group. This month’s schedule will include the routine inspection of the roofs from the tower and rainwater gulley clearing. Soon will come the high level brushing down of internal walls then the day after, when the dust has settled, filling ‘Henry’ and friends then a final dusting! Anyone who would like to occasionally help with such asks or garden tidying, removing ivy, or joining the monthly cleaning team rota will always be welcome. Please contact a churchwarden in the first instance. (Judy  judyjordan27@gmail.com  or Frances  williamsf333@aol.com )
