Badby & Farthingstone Cricket Club

With a full season of Sunday fixtures to look forward to, Badby & Farthingstone CC got their summer underway with a home fixture against old rivals Crick Lions. The shone sun with walkers heading to Badby Woods on the bluebell trail and even the clubhouse looked spick and span after its spring clean.

What was not so pleasant were the Crick batsmen who plundered the home bowling attack for over 200 runs in the allotted 30 overs, 40 runs too much for the home side. At least an excellent tea was enjoyed by all.

A similar story unfolded at Offchurch, near Leamington Spa, with the home side scoring 223 in their 35 overs, another mighty total that B&FCC fell well short of, all out for 109. Onwards and upwards as they say.

Away from the matches, the club as ever welcome any new players who want to play friendly, social cricket at their beautiful ground. The club are also looking for local sponsors to support its development plans. Contact chairman Andy Nightingale at andynightingale234@gmail.com.
