This year’s Scarecrow Festival takes place over the weekend of 13-14 September, with the main event on Sunday 14 September from 2-5 pm when we will have stalls and live music on The Green courtesy of the Field Jammers, and teas in the village hall.
The theme for scarecrows this time is “my favourite hobby/pastime”, e.g. sport, handicraft, gardening, music, dance – the list is endless! Making a scarecrow can be fun, creative, and all the family can get involved – and there are some great resources online.
We just need to know where your scarecrow will be so we can include it on the map for visitors – a form is available from Jim McBeth (email: twolittlegoats@btinternet.com) or one of the Churchwardens, Judy and Frances. As usual, we will be collecting bottles for the bottle tombola and contributions will be hugely appreciated – please look out for collection date on village website and facebook.
