Much activity in the cemetery has seen vegetation cut back within and along the boundaries. This has tidied it up and makes it a more restful calming place for people to visit and pay their respects.
In November we will receive a total of 420 hedging saplings which will be planted to form new hedges around the cemetery and other sites around the village. They have been supplied in four different varieties, free, by the Woodland Trust. Once established, they will provide food and shelter for birds and nesting sites.
