Swifts’ Progress

Ian Bromwich reported on 24 May:
After a long gap, large numbers of swifts were crossing France a few days ago.
The second pair of swifts to return to Badby this year
I now have a pair back in box 3,  one arriving two days ago and the other yesterday.

The two eggs laid by the first pair of swifts to return to Badby in 2023
The first pair are now sitting on two eggs laid on 16 and 18 May, so should hatch around 9 June.
The new pair are 20 days behind that.
There have been four swifts flying over The Green for a few days now, along with one sitting on eggs.
