I really had hoped not to have to put up this post, but we’ve just received news that Rev’d Malcolm has tested positive for Covid, therefore our Christmas Day service at Badby has been cancelled.
Archdeacon Richard Ormston is leading services at Preston Capes at 9.15 am and at Fawsley at 11 am, so if you would like to take communion today, you can join one of these services. Tomorrow’s Boxing Day service at Badby has also been cancelled.
Sincere apologies for the unavoidably late notice, and we do hope that “normal service will be resumed shortly”. In the meantime, a very Happy Christmas and stay healthy! Here’s a copy of Malcolm’s message:
“Unfortunately, this morning I tested positive for Covid-19 which means that I need to self-isolate. I’m feeling a bit rotten with a hacking cough but I am immensely grateful to the NHS for my two regular vaccine injections plus my booster.
This does mean that there will be a revised schedule of services over the next couple of days as follows;
Christmas Day
9.15am Preston Capes Holy Communion with Archdeacon Richard
11.00am Fawsley Holy Communion with Archdeacon Richard
Boxing Day
No service
The services at Newnham and Badby on Christmas Day have both been cancelled as well.
Special precautions were taken at Charwelton on Christmas Eve, but please do keep an eye on your health, take regular lateral flow tests and isolate if necessary.
Apologies for the inconvenience that this may have caused.”
